Another Autumnal week saw night temps down to just 3C, but for most of the week held up nicely to 6 or 7C. Daytime temps hovered around a very acceptable 12-14C and provided a mixed bag of sunshine and showers. Matt says “tight baiting with pva bags, sticks and stringers are producing most fish”. He also adds that bait boats will be acceptable this winter, but the ‘Boilie Only’ rule still applies.

Finally, we have lots of really good chances to bag a Winter monster on some excellent bargain basement deals and the Spring Specials are going fast… they are Inclusive Package Coach Trips for just £395 per angler departing 27Mar09 and just £475 per angler for the trips departing 03 and 10Apr09.

Phone Carrie on 01206 76 75 76 or email sales@dreamlakes.com for more details.

Well, Sid says to “wrap up warm” as a cold spell hit the area. Despite daytime highs of 15C, the nights got decidedly chilly at just 2C. As a result, he also says that fishing was that much slower, but with small beds of bait, pop-ups and sticks there are still plenty of really good fish to be had.

Another week of high pressure brought some lovely autumn sunshine and fairly warm days with daytime temps reaching a delightful 23 degrees until mid week. A cooler front then moved in and brought the odd shower. Nonetheless, the daytime temps still stayed at a respectable 16C into the weekend. Night temps, however, were the seasonal norm at around 10C.

The week started off with the high pressure continuing over from last week, but then a cold front moved in and the easterly wind picked up. Nonetheless, as the pressure and temperature both dropped, the fish soon acclimatised and the catch rates started to rise leading to some pretty fair results…. some really nice 50’s, 40’s and 30’s. Top temps ended up as 19C (day) and 8C (night).
